GOOGLE - Funny name, but a unique and effective search engine.  Constantly comes up with on-target selections near the top
FAST - This is a Norwegian web search engine that digs out information very effectively
THOMAS REGISTER - The famous green- covered sourcebook on US and Canadian companies is available online and most of it is free.
FINDLAW - You can use this site to search court cases.  It also has links to many other law related sites.  
SMALL BUSINESS TAXES & MANAGEMENT - Get breaking tax reports, recent IRS laws, tax court rulinings and more at this site.

IRS TAX INFO FOR BUSINESSES - The IRS created this website to help businesses obtain tax information.
SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION - This SBA Home Page is the jumping off point for information about the many SBA programs available to entrepreneurs.
FED WORLD - This is a gateway to a wide variety of information and statistics issued by the Federal Government.  

FIRST GOV -  This site is the "official" Federal gateway linking to a variety of other governmental web sites.
This site has information about NAIC codes, the industry coding system that replaced the SIC codes.
This is the home page for the US Census Bureau's data base.   It is a gold mine of demographic and statistical information.
